• Performs all necessary apartment repairs to make ready apartments for move-in. Reports repairs that may require contracting; This includes but is not limited to trash removal, painting, minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, vinyl/carpet repair and carpentry. 
• Responds in a timely manner to repair or contract repairs to fulfill resident service requests. 
• Responds to emergency repair or contract requirements within a thirty (30) minute maximum response time.

Operations Manager

  • Support Community Manager’s development of annual budgets for the communities comprising the assigned portfolio, and oversees attainment of budgeted goals by analyzing and evaluating financial statements, reconciling monthly statements against approved budget, and working with the accounting department, Chief Operating Officer and others to address and resolve gaps in the financial performance of the portfolio. 
  • Ensure that the portfolio and individual communities meet the established operational, financial, and business performance goals by inspecting communities, reviewing financial, market, and operational reports, and developing and implementing appropriate action plans to achieve results. 
  • Conduct associate coaching and counseling when necessary (with proper support and witnesses) ensuring confidentiality in handling these issues. 
  • Oversee the appropriate and adequate staffing at each community and supervises the acquisition, development, and management of community team members. 
  • Promote owner and investor satisfaction and retention through timely reporting and on-going communication about the performance of the communities and responds quickly and with urgency to owner/investor concerns, questions, issues, and requests. 
  • Ensure that the appearance and physical aspects of the communities meet Griffis Residential standards through routine site and safety inspections, and communicates concerns and requests for capital as needed to provide for the physical upkeep of each community in the portfolio. 
  • Coordinate work activities and services from vendors, consultants, and other contractors as needed by researching and identifying needs, negotiating contracts and monitoring progress.
  •  Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer or other Executive Officers. 

Qualification Requirements: 

  • A minimum of five (5) years experience as a Regional or Operations Manager and/or on-site Community Manager in multi-family housing.
  • College education, CAM or ARM certification preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Property Accountant
Location: Denver, CO Corporate Office
Facilitate all aspects of accounting for apartment communities including processing of accounts payable, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, bank reconciliations, preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, preparation of trial balances and schedules for tax returns and audits.


  • Review invoices entered by community managers for account coding, vendor and amount accuracy, review for proper approvals. Prepare batches for review and approval by Assistant Controller. Print checks, scan and save check copies with vouchers, save batches on server. Mail checks. Handle inquiries regarding payments and open invoices from vendors and managers. 
  • Maintain the general ledger for each property assigned, including monthly close, reconcile balance sheet accounts, reconcile income accounts to the leasing and rents software and prepare journal entries.
  • Prepare financial statements every month and circulate. 
  • Prepare and submit replacement reserve reimbursement requests. 
  • Prepare and submit quarterly use tax returns. 
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements and send to lenders. 
  • Prepare trial balances for annual tax returns including reviewing fixed asset purchases and properly classifying for tax purposes. 
  • Assist with providing documentation for auditors. 
  • Set up wires and ACH’s in banking system, make book transfers as needed.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university is required, 2-4 years experience preferred.
