Griffis Residential Office Associates

Griffis Residential Office Associates are hard working team players who genuinely care about delivering “It’s about you” customer service quality to our customers, residents, and guests. Qualified candidates will demonstrate a proven positive attitude, basic marketing abilities, outstanding leasing and sales skills. Work priorities include the ability to organize administrative requirements, multi-task, communicate effectively, and lead by example.

Full-Time Community Manager

Location: Denver, CO

Principle Responsibilities:
•Effectively supervises, trains, and delegates responsibility to community associates.
•Maintains budgeted occupancy, collections, and expenses.
•Approves all applications for residency according to the Griffis Residential qualification criteria.
•Leads, assists, and supports iPad leasing and marketing standards including telephone marketing, greeting prospective residents, gathering prospect information via the iPad and OneSite, setting appointments, showing ready and model apartments, generating quotes, following up, closing and securing deposits, and assisting prospective residents with application completion and credit verification processes.
•Monitors completion of preventative maintenance schedules and other required service team work and responsibilities.
•Reviews and evaluates the work performance of current associates and makes promotion, salary, and job termination recommendations to the Operations Manager(s).

Work Requirements:
A minimum of three (3) years multi-family or hospitality management experience as a General Manager, Manager or Assistant Manager.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. College education, CAM or ARM certification preferred.

Qualification Requirements: 
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal for reporting to residents, management and ownership group on a regular basis. 
• Strong organizational and marketing skills.
• The equivalent of a high school degree is required.
• Prior experience in leasing and/or sales, ability to close sales required. 
• Typing skills 35-45 words per minute. 
• Computer knowledge of OneSite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) helpful.
• Weekend work may apply.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required. College education or NALP certification preferred.
 
 

Full-Time Assistant Community Manager
Location: Westminster, CO

Work Requirements:
Assists the Community and Service Manager in fulfilling day-to-day apartment community operations and occupancy standards. Manages lease administration requirements, account collections, lease and renewal administration, resident communications and retention activities.

Qualification Requirements: 
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven customer service experience
• Problem solving expertise
• Onesite experience preferred
• At minimum of three (3) years of multifamily apartment community operations, hospitality management, sales, and / or retail management experience preferred.

Full-Time Leasing Consultant
Location:  Seattle, WA

Work Requirements:
• Consistent fulfillment of customer service standards and problem resolution requirements
• Develop informed product knowledge and understanding of the competitive market
• Leasing / sales tour presentations of apartments, apartment models, common areas, and amenities 
• Lease administration, paperwork completion, and resident record maintenance
• Assist with the general community operations
• Assist with general community marketing requirement

Qualification Requirements:

Full-Time Service Technician
Location: Floating Denver, CO
              Westminster, CO

Work Requirements:
• HVAC and CPO certification preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and make repairs to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall and appliance issues.
• On call after hours work schedule rotation.
• Pool cleaning and related chemical handling.
• Painting and drywall repairs.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.


Qualification Requirements:
A minimum of one (1) year experience in multifamily maintenance, hospitality maintenance, make ready preparation, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, pool maintenance and servicing.

Work Requirements:
•Supports the service team in maintaining the cleanliness of the community, amenities, clubhouse(s), offices and apartments to the highest level of cleanliness and according to standards. 
•Completes daily tasks assigned by the Community and Service Managers
•Reads, understands, and complies with product safety labels, community policy and procedure manuals.

Griffis Residential Corporate Associates

Director, Training and Development - Greenwood Village, CO 

Summary

Facilitate training at all levels of Operations Teams. Lead the development and management of training materials. Play a key role with GRX team and initiatives. Manage the summer internship program and associate development program. Oversee new hire orientation with active participation in the on-boarding experience of all on-site associates. Provides training in all aspects of on-site training. Facilitation also includes courses created by or in conjunction with other support departments. Collaborates with the COO, Operations Managers, and Regional Service Team to conduct needs analysis for the company, responds to specific needs with training and ensures consistency with established programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities to include the following:
  • Develop and assist in the training of new associates.  Responsible for the Griffis Residential skills tracks training and any updates or revisions to the programs.
  • Ensures all new associates participate in new hire orientation.
  • Designs, delivers and facilitates learning courses and training materials that support Griffis Residential training needs. 
  • Ensures all leasing/office associates participate in Leasing Essentials and computer based training as applicable to their job function.
  • Participates and periodically presents at CM, ACM and Leasing Consultant meetings throughout the year.
  • Leads in the design, development and delivery of on-boarding experiences and career development plans for site associates.
  • Helps build success skill sets for associates in their current roles and for advancement opportunities.
  • Conducts and coordinates training programs to fit the specific needs of individual communities such as in-house classes /workshops.
  • Partners with the OMs and Human Resources to ensure that operations manuals are up to date.

Griffis Residential Associate Development Program

Griffis Residential is currently seeking applications for the 2016 Associate Development Program from recent college graduates who are self-motivated, hardworking and collaborative.

The success of Griffis Residential is built around a guest culture represented by an “it’s about you” commitment.

This culture delivers customer service excellence to the residents of our portfolio of Class-A rental apartments. This, in turn, drives attractive returns to investors in our private equity real estate investment funds. Since the performance of the company depends on a team of dedicated industry professionals, the Associate Development Program has been created to identify and train the next generation of business leaders and managers.

A limited number of recent college graduates will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the rapidly growing apartment management and investment business. Over the course of a 12-month program, Associates will rotate through different functional areas within the Denver, Colorado corporate office as well as individual apartment communities located in Denver, Austin and Seattle. 

At the apartment communities, Associates will work with the firm’s leasing professionals and property managers. In this capacity, Associates will learn about sales, customer service, budgeting, pricing, financial forecasting, maintenance, and the general management skills necessary to run a multi-million dollar business.

During a rotation through the corporate office, Associates will gain exposure to various functional areas including: market research, financial modeling and analysis, acquisitions, dispositions, debt and equity financing, marketing and communications, project management, and asset management. 

The Associate Development Program is designed to accelerate learning and career development by providing a strong foundation upon which to build a real estate career. Following the completion of the Program, Associates will be offered a career path based on their experiences and opportunities within Griffis Residential. Some Associates will have a fast track opportunity to rise to a general management position, with full responsibility for a discrete business unit. Other Associates will choose from available opportunities within the different functional areas they have explored during the course of the Program.
